Remington-Elliot Ring Trigger Four-Shot Deringer, #8665, .32 RF cal., 3-3/8'' barrel group, blued finish, smooth two-piece wood grips; small, fixed blade front sight, with ''V''-notched rear sight on top of the frame. Left side of the barrel is marked ''MANUFACTURED. BY E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION, N.Y.''. Right side is marked ''ELLIOTS PATENTS MAY 29, 1860-OCT. 1, 1861''. Mfg'd circa 1863-1888, with approx. 17,500 in .32 RF cal. Condition is good, with traces of finish in the protected areas. Grips are fair, showing typical age and wear, with a vertical repaired crack across the center of the right grip panel; left panel shows less age and wear. Action functions well.
